The East London Community Land Trust is an open membership, not-for-profit organisation - anyone who lives or works in East London can join.
Membership costs just £1, which buys you a share in the company. But as a organisation committed to local people, voiting is based on 'one member, one vote' rather than the value of your shares.
At the moment, our membership is heavily concentrated within a one mile radius of the St Clement's Hospital site in Mile End, Tower Hamlets, due to the very specific nature of our pilot project. But we hope to grow and expand. And so our constitution allows for anyone who lives or works in east London to become a share-holder and voting member within the trust. (Although please note that membership of the Trust is by no means the sole consideration for those wishing to live in a Land Trust home - there is a legally agreed allocations process in-keeping with aspirations of Choice-Based Lettings and the Borough.)
We'd love to have you as a member, so that you and your family can take part our the community-led design and governance processes. If you'd like to join, please simply just fill out the form below and one of our staff will get back to you.
Thanks for your interest.
